Cookie Policy
How we use cookies and similar technologies to operate and improve the Treflik Solar website.
Last updated: March 2026 · Effective date: 1 March 2026
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device (computer, tablet, or smartphone) when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently, to remember your preferences, and to provide information to website owners.
Similar technologies include “web beacons” (transparent pixel images used to track email opens and page visits), “local storage” objects, and “session storage”. For the purposes of this policy, we use the term “cookies” to refer to all such technologies collectively.
2. Cookies We Use
We categorise the cookies used on the Treflik Solar website as follows:

3. Third-Party Cookies
Some cookies on our Site are set by third-party services that appear on our pages. We do not control these cookies. The main third parties whose cookies may be present on our Site are:
- Google (Analytics, Ads, Maps): Google Privacy Policy
- Meta/Facebook (Pixel): Meta Privacy Policy
- LinkedIn (Insight Tag): LinkedIn Privacy Policy
- Vercel (Analytics): Vercel Privacy Policy
4. Managing Your Cookie Preferences
When you first visit the Treflik Solar website, you will be presented with a cookie consent banner that allows you to accept all cookies, reject non-essential cookies, or customise your preferences by category.
You can change your preferences at any time by clicking the “Cookie Settings” link in the footer of any page. Please note that withdrawing consent for analytics or marketing cookies does not affect any cookies already placed before you changed your settings.
You can also control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to block all cookies or block cookies from specific websites. Guidance for common browsers:
- Google Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
- Mozilla Firefox: Options → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
- Safari (macOS/iOS): Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
- Microsoft Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Cookies and site data
Note that blocking strictly necessary cookies will impair the functionality of the Site.
5. Do Not Track Signals
Some browsers include a “Do Not Track” (DNT) feature that signals to websites that you do not wish to be tracked. Our Site does not currently respond to DNT signals because there is no universally accepted technical standard for how such signals should be interpreted. We encourage you to use the cookie preference settings described in Section 4 to control tracking on our Site.
6. Cookies and the Solar Estimator
Our Solar Estimator tool uses functional cookies and local storage to save partial inputs as you work through the estimation process. This ensures your inputs are not lost if you navigate away and return. These data are stored locally on your device and are not transmitted to our servers unless you choose to request a full proposal.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy as our technology or legal obligations change. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, present the updated cookie consent banner to returning visitors.
